Supply Planner

Reporting to our Planning Manager, you’ll produce supply and inventory plans for our products. This will involve talking to sales colleagues to understand demand, as well as scheduling required stock keeping units (SKUs) for our production lines, brewing requirements and to replenish our depots. Meeting service level agreements and KPIs, such as quality, control, cost and service will also be key, as will pre-empting spikes in demand, trouble-shooting and building strong supplier relationships.
We’re looking for a bright, self-starter who combines excellent communication skills with genuine analytical insight. A strong problem solver, you’ll have the confidence to pre-empt difficulties before they arise and be unfazed dealing with the uncertain. Knowledge of SAP and Excel would be a huge plus too.

Key Accountabilities:
 To ensure stocks held at Carlsberg depots are in line with both depot capacities and inventory stock profiles for meeting forecasted sales demand
 To Produce weekly production requirements for Carlsberg UK & contract manufacture sites, to an agreed timetable to optimise capacity, stock holding, service levels and costs
 Communicate anticipated supply issues to the appropriate Carlsberg Management teams.
 Maintain stock availability of Core Brands to meet Key Performance Indicators within customer contracts
 Ensuring wastage and stock write off costs are minimised and within Budget
 Updating of master data within SAP and maintaining it accurately
 Proactively working with colleagues in Warehousing and Transport teams to enhance cross functional procedures and reduce costs within the supply chain.
 Support and develop initiatives and new business processes within Distribution.
 To be multi – skilled within the team, planning to production at Leeds and Northampton sites.
Providing cover for the business and our customers (from 6am to 8pm on a rotating shift basis)


Applicants should be able to demonstrate the following key competencies:
 Previous experience of a supply chain and in particular be familiar with inventory management and/or production planning processes.
 Educated to ‘A’ level /HND standard.
 IT literate - Microsoft packages essential and SAP experience preferable
 Planning, investigation and Problem solving competencies are key to this Operational role.
 Excellent Communication skills with the ability to pass on key information accurately.
 Being a supportive team member with a positive attitude.
 Ability to develop good relationships and network with people around the business.
