At Carlsberg, we’re making a serious investment in our Northampton brewery. Our plans to expand and create a truly state-of-the-art facility will see future production increase by almost 50% – yet with a thirsty nation to satisfy, we cannot ignore current production. That’s why we’re now looking for an experienced brewing professional with Master Brewer status to join us for 12 months. Working with teams across the brewery, you’ll lead the day-to-day technical support for our Brewing & Processing department, focusing on the delivery of production plans within quality and cost parameters. Championing a wide range of technical issues, you’ll maintain effective process controls, co-ordinate technical support and resources, implement continuous improvement and manage trials activity. Influencing our world-class hygiene standards will also be a key part of the role. We need someone with the drive and commitment to significantly input our technical capabilities. Your background, which preferably includes experience as a frontline manager, must demonstrate strong knowledge of continuous improvement/Lean techniques. Familiarity with quality systems and SHE standards would be useful, as would a degree in biochemistry, food science or engineering. You should also be a natural leader and coach who can communicate complex information effectively.
A vacancy has arisen for an interim Warehouse Manager. Your role will be responsible for operational, legislative and financial management of the warehouse department within the depot, delivering required levels of customer service. This role will report into the Depot Operations Manager,and will be responsible for managing the day to day transport operation safely, accurately and within appropriate productivity and cost levels whilst paying the necessary attention to legislative requirements. You will support site management in continuously improving the operation. Your people management and organisational skills will be key to your success as you will need to motivate the fleet team to deliver excellent customer service at all times. Also key to this role is supporting our compliance requirements.

This opportunity has arisen in the Quality Assurance Team in the Northampton Brewery and will be for a duration of 3-9 months. Reporting to our QA Manager, you’ll take on responsibility for the day-to-day running of our lab and make a key contribution toward the continuous improvement of our production processes. Whether you’re preparing the lab for the purposes of chemical analysis, conducting essential maintenance or updating the document control system, you’ll uphold the highest standards. Carrying out due diligence analysis on the finished product and acting as general support to our eight-strong team will be key, as will providing chemical, packaging, analytical and equipment expertise and monitoring management systems. Combining a science background with a good working knowledge of laboratory practices, you’ll be well versed in quality systems, including auditing, and hold project management skills. Education-wise, we’re looking for an A-level Science qualification, or equivalent, and you should also be flexible and self motivated with first-class communication skills.
