But it’s not just in the pub or on the supermarket shelves that you will see the Carlsberg name. Our ‘Probably the best lager in the world’ campaign has been running since 1973 and the slogan is one of the most memorable – if not the most memorable – slogan in TV advertising history.

We also have some of the biggest sponsorships in the worlds of sport and music. In football, we are sponsors of the England team , The FA Cup, Liverpool FC, Euro 2008, the UEFA Cup Final and the Super Cup. Our rugby sponsorships with Tetley's cover seven Premier Union clubs and nine Super League clubs.

We also sponsor numerous music events across Tuborg and Carlsberg. For example last year 175,000 rock fans at Glastonbury could quench their thirst at 22 Carlsberg bars on the site, while Tuborg is the official beer at this year's Leeds and Reading festivals. Tuborg is also the official beer of Live Nation (the biggest music promoter in Europe), which gives it unique and exclusive access to the O2 Wireless, Global Gathering, Escape and Download Festivals as well as an association to nearly 40 entertainment venues in the UK Outside the UK, we are sponsors of Roskilde, the largest annual music festival in Europe, and Exit, the largest festival of its kind in Eastern Europe. We were one of the sponsors of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers concert in Belgrade, which drew 55,000 fans, and of the Metallica gig in Moscow, which attracted 75,000 heavy metal enthusiasts.
