The Planning Team connects and co-ordinate activities in the supply chain to ensure that our Carlsberg, 3rd party and wines and spirits brands are available when customers want them. Our customers expect a high level of service and managing this demand against our production capabilities is the key focus for the team. Effectively, we decide which products and how much of each product to produce or source to ensure that we are able to Deliver More to our customers. The Planning Team has seven main areas of work:
• Demand Management, often called Forecasting, which decides how much of each product we are likely to sell • Production Planning, which ensures we have enough finished goods in stock to meet our customers’ needs • Operational Procurement, which ensures the right materials arrive at the right line at the right time • Customer Service, which handles orders from our off-trade and international customers • Planning Information, which supports the other departments with reports and information • Wines & Spirits, source other brands and replenish depots • Third Party Brands, source other brands and replenish depots
