Production

At Carlsberg we refer to Production as Supply Chain – which covers Raw Materials to Palletised goods and Primary Distribution and everything else between! Therefore as well as exciting careers in the production field we also have areas such as Commercial, Quality Development, Strategic Change and Planning.

Our two main Production facilities are in Northampton and Leeds and the support functions tend to be based on the Northampton site. Our Northampton brewery is the largest production site within the Carlsberg Group worldwide. Situated on the banks of the River Nene in the heart of the market town, the brewery produces a thirst-quenching 4.3m+ hectolitres of beer a year.

The capacity of our Leeds brewery is just over 3m hectolitres – which is just as well since current demand for our ales and lagers is 2.7m hectolitres. The ales are brewed using a fermentation system known as Yorkshire Squares. This is a very specialised system used in only five breweries in the world.
