Frequently asked questions

Information on specific positions

How can I find out about current opportunities?
The best way is to search on the job search page. This will provide you with the largest and most varied list of vacancies. Our database of current opportunities is updated in real time. As soon as an opportunity becomes available, it can be accessed via this site and vacancies are removed as soon as they are filled.

The application and interview process

Where do I send my CV?
Please look at the jobs available and follow the instructions for applying online.
How soon will I know if my application is successful?
You will receive an email acknowledging that your application form and CV have been received. The time taken for reviewing applications may vary depending on the type of job you are applying for. Our aim is always to contact candidates regarding the outcome of their application as soon as possible.
If I submit an application and/or CV for a specific role, will I be considered for other vacancies?
Yes, your application and CV will be included in our database and will be available to other recruiters within Carlsberg UK.
How often can I update my details?
Once you register on this site, you will be able to access your details at any time. This means you can log in and add a new CV to update your skills and employment history when necessary.
I unsuccessfully applied to Carlsberg before – can I re-apply?
Once you have applied for a position with Carlsberg, your details will remain on our database for 12 months unless you instruct us otherwise. As positions become available, we will search the database for suitable candidates, so it is very important that you keep your details up to date.
What should I wear to my interview?
It very much depends on the position you are applying for. If you are applying for a job where you would normally be expected to wear a suit, it would be best to dress accordingly for your interview. For all other positions, we would suggest ‘smart casual’.
What is the selection process like?
There is a selection process for all roles. This is either a one or two-stage process and could include a combination of CV and competency-based interview, assessment exercise and psychometric testing, depending on the requirements of the role. Psychometric testing will either be administered online or on the day of the assessment.

If you are applying to Carlsberg for the first time, you will need to provide an e-mail address and password so we can identify you in the future. My CV is more than 1MB – how can I upload it?

You must get it to below 1MB. Remove any images, save the document, and check to see if it is less than 1MB.

If you created your CV in Microsoft Word and have made several revisions to it, it is possible that Word is 'remembering' all your changes. This increases the file size tremendously. The solution is to copy and paste the text content of your CV into a new blank Word document and save it.

Why do I get an error when I log on to my personal details saying: ‘This page contains secure and non-secure items do you wish to display the secure items?’?
Each of our pages is stored in a secure area; however, the images that are displayed are not. It is the images that generate the "non-secure items" message. This has no adverse effect on the security of the site and your details will not be compromised.
Why can’t I log in?
Check that you have entered the correct data for each field. Keep a note of your login email address and password somewhere secure. When you first register you are sent a confirmation email. Please store this somewhere safe. If you cannot remember your username or password it is advisable to set up a new account, making a note of your email address and password.
